
Health Awareness
The Health Awareness support currently entails Health Advocacy, Emotional Support and Counselling.
Health Advocacy centres on helping asylum seekers and refugees with a GP registration, providing interpreting, being their advocate when needed, helping them understand and manage their illnesses and/or conditions and letting them know what support is available to them.
Emotional Support to asylum seekers and refugees is delivered through the NHS Warwick Edinburgh framework and Counselling through one-to-one and group sessions with a Farsi-speaking BACP-accredited counsellor. These services aim to help clients reduce and manage their trauma, anxiety and/or depression.
